Natural Bliss was founded by two fabulous sisters, Ayanna Dominguez and Latoya Acosta; after our mother educated us about natural skin care and why it is so important. We began reading labels and researching the ingredients. After all, we have always prepared our own meals and were conscious about what we ate. At first, all we did was read! We started to read about the healing powers of essential oils, natural vegetable oils and herbs. Our journey to Natural Bliss begun!
Later we brought books about how to make natural soap and researched how to make lotion. Thanks to our mom we have found our passion in life! We both previously worked with health care, yet always felt that something was missing; not any more. From then on, we begun making products and testing them on ourselves, our children, husbands, family and friends. We knew that we wanted to show it to the world or who ever would listen.
We have truly poured our love into all of our products. We always laugh about how meticulous we are about everything, but we want it to be perfect. We focus on the nutrient value and healing properties when choosing our ingredients. That is why we do not use any synthetic fragrances, colorants or preservatives; such as parabens, alcohol, mineral oil, petroleum or other ingredients that are harmful to the skin. We also do not use animal oils or test any of our products on animals.
We use pure and organic unrefined vegetable oils, natural butters, essential oils and botanicals. Most of our vegetable oils and natural butters are organically farmed or wild crafted (harvested from their natural "wild" habitat). We choose not to have these oils refined. When oils are refined, bleached and deodorized (RBD) they are being stripped of their full nutrient value. Therefore the smell, the color and the unique properties are gone. All that is left is the "feel" of the oil. Our products are scented with essential oils and absolutes, because they contains the plants true essence and possesses healing abilities. Our essential oils are of pure quality and are not diluted. We use natural colorants such as: herbs, natural clays and oxides; although it can be difficult to work with at times. We try to reduce the use of water and liquids to eliminate the use of preservatives; yet we have found a natural preservation method that does not use parabens.
